In 2027, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda will co-host the next edition of the 'TotalEnergies' Africa Cup of Nations, and I am confident that this event will be a resounding success. Subsequent editions of the tournament are scheduled for 2028, 2031, and 2033. The FIFA World Cup will take place in 2030, adhering to FIFA's tradition, no Africa Cup of Nations or other continental national team finals will be held in the same year. The Africa Cup of Nations is not merely a football festival; it is also a grand celebration of Africa's diverse cultures, customs, and traditions. It serves as a unifying force, connecting the people of the 54 African nations, African diaspora, and friends across the globe. The decision by the Confederation of African Football's executive committee aligns with the greatest interests of African football and its 54 member associations, and it promises to significantly advance the sport's long-term growth.
